BHHP week

Monday, September 29, 2008

Dear Praying Friends,

It is hard to find words to share with you all the things God was doing this last week(s). We had 20 volunteers from the States serving with us and help reaching campus and high school students. The "Bringing to the Hungarian Harvest Project" (BHHP) was extremely busy (basically we left the hotel 6.30-7.00 AM and got back around midnight), but extremely effective, too.

I. The week from our ministry's perspective:

1. there was over 2,000 evangelistic SSKs distributed to freshmen on universities and hundreds filled out the survey attached to it and indicated that they want to talk with someone about God.

2. had 2 major high school assembly where over 350 students gathered at each school and we gave a YTL talk on sex and invited them to the high school outreach on October 3rd.

3. had about 60 campus students at the campus outreach on Monday.

4. shared Christ with more than 100 students through "random" personal evangelism on campuses

5. had 3 great dorm outreaches where we had deep, deep conversations with students about the gospel

6. had dozens of English classes in campuses and universities and invited students to the campus and high school outreaches.

II. The week from one of the American's perspective who came and helped:

This is what Andy, a businessman from Dallas wrote, who came to BHHP:

"First, it was an amazing trip -- as I tried to say during the banquet, although I've been a believer for many years, I have not been very faithful in terms of sharing my faith with others...for me, the BHHP week was one of the highlights of my journey with Christ and a catalyst to go out and proclaim the gospel...

"Second, I must commend you on the quality of the Crusade staff -- simply put, they are awesome and are such an encouragement to me as they modeled Christ's love daily... Your team encouraged me beyond any expectation and the love they showed for the students of Hungary is infectious.  I have not seen many US evangelistic organizations that are so in love with God and aggressively sharing that love with the students and people.  I will pray for your team daily, as well as for the students and people of your country.  Crusade is making a big difference for the Kingdom of God in Hungary and I encourage you to persevere -- one student at a time and before we know it, there will be literally thousands of new believers in Hungary proclaiming the gospel.  Please tell your staff how much I love them and encourage them to continue their great work.."

All Glory is TO GOD!!! We don't deserve this in any means! If something was a blessing, it is ONLY because of HIM!

III. A HUGE ANSWER OF PRAYER: many of you had been praying for our legal status. Finally we got an answer from the tax office and from the Department of Finance from the Government and our staff doesn't have to pay tax after donations received from individuals through Crusade. Many of you were praying for this, thank you!!! This is very crucial for our ministry due to the burden we had to carry. Now hopefully this will make it possible for our staff to receive full paychecks (or close) from January 2009.

IV. Prayer-requests:

1. Tomorrow Renato will have an MRI to localize his epilepsy. After that he'll need some other tests before they put him on medication. He is doing an outstanding job in perferming really well in both the American and Hungarian school this year. He is working really hard, we are so proud of him. Rahel is working hard, too in her new high school which is a very demanding school.

2. On Friday, October 3rd we'll have an outreach for High Schools kids. Pray that many would come and be opened to the gospel.

3. Next week I'll go back to the knee doctor to schedule my surgery. Pray that this wouldn't take me out of our ministry for more than a week.

We are so thankful for your generous, loving and caring partnership in this ministry!!! When I talk to those lost students, I can assure you, it's all worth it. Thank you!

Advancing the Kingdom of God together,

Gabor and Edina
