From Hungary to Romania and Albania
As the school year ends we are turning our focus on the soon-coming "SpeakOut" camp. We have 36 Americans signed up to come and help for a month and we have 46 Hungarian student staff from our ministry joining to our staff to host about 300 non-Christian students for this month-long evangelistic English camp. This year we're trusting God to send two groups (5-7 students) out from "SpeakOut" camp to other countries. One group will go to Romania and the other to Albania. Each group will be gone from the rest of the "SpeakOut" camp for one week - sent out in prayer and received back for a report on all God did. We have a growing partnership with those countries, and we regularly send groups to universtities in Transylvania (Hungarian speaking part of Romania - known as the home of vampires :).
The most encouraging to us...
...as we look back in the past ministry year is to see the growth of the new students involved in YTL. We saw growth both in numbers and in their spiritual depth. This year our students shared the Gospel with other students 3 times more than in the pervious year. Another exciting thing is to see how opened the schools are for us to teach YTL. Our high school team in the past two months spoke in over 200 classrooms! What an exposure! Let me qoute from an email that I've got from a school principal recently: "...not long ago some of our former classes had their 10 year anniversary of high school graduation. As they remembered back about their high school years they've shared that the YTL classes they had in 1999 had the greatest influence on their lives...We wish you great health, help and support for your work". I was overwhelmed as I red these words from a non-Christian public school. What a blessing that we have the privilage to impacth multiple generations with this ministry!
We need your prayers...
...for the SpeakOut camp - many non-Christian students would come and would receive Christ
...for our trip to the U.S. - Edina and I'll be traveling while Edina's mom will be with the kids. Pray for health and safetiness for all of us.
...for God leading us about moving. We think it would be very beneficial for our ministry if we would be able to move closer to the city, but only if the Lord provides a buyer who is willing to pay a high enough price for our house. This would be a sign and a miracle from God.
...for us as we work on the 3rd volume of the YTL book and on some DVDs for the 15th anniversary of YTL.
...for BHHP between October 4-12, 2009. Pray that people would come from the States to help us to reach students and educators during that special week as we celebrate God's faithfulness in YTL. http://www.timoteus.hu/partners
...for financial resources for the ministry projects and activities we'll have in the next year. We need resources for YTL symposium, materials, campus and high school outreaches, etc.
...for health for our whole family. Renato is doing better and the medicine seems to be working well. Rahel's skin condition is in our prayers daily. She went to Transylvania this weekend to participate at a girl outreach.
We are so thankful to God for you!
Advancing the Kingdom of God together,
Gabor for Edina and the kids.
