Dear Praying Friends,
:: Summary of SpeakOut camp ::
69 Hungarian Student Staff + 30 American Volunteers + 22 Hungarian missionaries hosting over 350 non-Christian students and sharing Christ with them as well doing evangelism on the beach, and in many other cities. We've trained a team from Slovakia - they've came to observe how they could start this camp in their country. Also, we've sent a team to Albania and Romania to reach students there. (Soon, we'll post pictures and videos on our web - we'll let you know.)
:: Changed lives 01 ::
Every week we saw more than 10 students trust Christ just on the beaches, not counting the campers. And these are just the ones who were ready to say YES to God! Many many more are one step closer to that decision, or became more interested in a relationship with their Creator! Besides this we hear news of SpeakOut campers making their first step of faith trusting Christ for their salvation daily! I will have the final numbers in a week!
:: Changed lives 02 ::
Rahel (our daughter) became really excited about evangelism and decided to go out sharing Christ at the beach even during the "Sports-day" when we don't have organized evangelism. God used her during that time to lead a girl to Christ at the beach they've met first time. Two days later they've meet again to do the first follow-up appointment. We are so thankful for what God is doing in Rahel's life during this camp!
:: Changed lives 03 ::
One afternoon I've approached a young couple at the beach with our survey that we use to initiate a discussion about God. We've ended up spending 70 minutes discussing about Jesus and the gospel. Sanyi (the guy) and Hajni (the girl) are in their early 30s. Both were very opened and interested to hear about Christ. Hajni were so touched by the fact that Jesus can heal her wounds that she were crying during the last 30 minutes of our conversation! They didn't make a decision yet, but they are very close. Pray for them!
:: Opportunities BEYOND OUR IMAGINATIONS ::
Last Tuesday morning I got a phone-call from the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Social and Family life in the Government. He called me to be at a meeting by 2pm the same day. I had leave the camp and go up to Budapest to meet with him and his colleges. They want to work together with us and with the "Contrast-exhibition" (this is the exhibition we are doing together with the Presbyterian Church and the Police). During our conversations it turned out that these government leaders are born again Christians and they want to promote YTL and the "Contrast-exhibition" with the GOSPEL MESSAGE in it!!! This fall we'll do this "exhibition" in two major cities and the universities are competing with each other who could have the exhibition and the YTL talks. Every students (over 40,000) and every educators will be required (by their school director) to go through the exhibition as well to hear from us one of the YTL talks and a shortened version of a YTL training. (This means a lot traveling this semester.) The government leaders and the whole media (radio, TV, etc.) will come to the opening ceremony on September 16th. These government leaders have asked us how fast we could "produce" speakers to the schools because they want to "fund" this to be available to every school! WOW! God is blessing beyond what we've asked for!
Your prayers are needed as our team are facing with a lot of follow-up after the camp and with demanding opportunities.
Advancing the Kingdom of God together,
