God keeps opening amazing opportunities for us!

:: YTL and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ::

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences created a special committee to deal with the problems in population growth, it's called Growth of Population Conference. Very well known scientists and professors from major universities had been appointed to be in that committee. Soon they've discovered that the largest and most effective youth educational program in the country is YTL, so they've asked me to participate in the work of the Growth of Population Conference. We are entrusted by the Academy of Sciences to prepare a training material for educators to use for family life education. The backbone of it is the YTL curriculum. We've just submitted the first draft of this material to the Institute for Development of Education and to the Academy of Sciences. After those approvals we can open a training course for educators in one of the major university (called Károli Gáspár Univ) in Hungary. This will be a course for educators for their ongoing education. The training course purpose is to help educators preparing students for family life. It will be a 40-60 credit course and we are part of designing and giving the training. Also, we are requested by the Academy to help design a student textbook for family life for other types of schools. They basically want YTL represented Christian values to be in those student textbooks. To introduce YTL in an official way, I had been asked to write a long study in the "Journal for Educators" magazine which is received by every educator in the country.

Pray: these opportunities are beyond my capacity. It's obvious that I don't belong to that group of scientists - for many well-known reasons. (I'm the only one who doesn't' even have a PhD, all the group members have multiple PhDs.) But for some reason, these people are opened to what we have to say and are giving a tons of space to influence and guide the process. It's amazing  how a simple truth or principle we share from God's word is a new, radical and very intellectual thought to many of these scientists! Pray for stamina, wisdom for me to be able to help in that area in the midst of my many other responsibilities.
